The Guilts

Well regardless of whether anyone visits this blog anymore (and thank you to the ladies that do and have left me such gorgeous comments) or not I am feeling the need to keep track of my life after being away from it for so long. Boston is growing up so fast and I am already starting to forget important memories and loved how I had my blog to read and bring back so many memories.

So I am cranking it back up again. As for the guilts well am I right in saying every mother feels guilty, guilty for not being organised, guilty for not having the housework done, guilty for not paying that phone bill, guilty for not keeping up to date on your babies scrap album. Well hello yes to all the above and more. This year has been very emotional year for me losing my Dad and I just haven't felt that I wanted to scrap and just have spent months running on auto pilot.

I decided a few weeks ago when I couldn't believe I had thousands of photos of Boston and nothing was scrapped an in an album. So I went through all his photos and printed thumbnails then went through my complete stash and put papers and embellishments together with the photos in a sleeve in date order ready to scrap. Okay I had a shopping spree at Scrap Therapy as well to get the must have papers. Well it's just what I need to kick me up the butt.

This is the stash that I purchased and my 3 albums and 78 layouts to do later.

This has now turned into 3 albums

So it was time to start, this is the first page I have done for Boston's album. I have used Echo Park Little Boy Collection showing his love of driving Dadda's carcar up and down the cul de sac.

I have to say I am really enjoying scrapping now, no pressure no-one cares how I scrap or what I scrap (Boston certainly doesn't) and I can do it when I want how I want. It's a nice feeling. Gotta say it's has so much more meaning when you get to scrap your own child and cry as you write the journaling or laugh at there antics....

Well I have to get ready for work tonight but thought I would load this first page up and share another one tomrorow.

Dad my heart aches the pain hurts so bad and the tears wont stop as I wish that you could of stayed with us forever. I know it was time but this feeling I have in my heart is crippling. You fought till the end and your courage is like no other man but the pain and the suffering had to end and finally now you have peace.

I will miss you so very much and everyday when I look at my son I see traces of you, his smile, his flared nostrils and yes Dad he has the Ettia temper. He truly was a gift from you and I promise I will teach him everything you taught me and tell him all about his wonderful Pa. I will be so proud if he turns out to be half the man you are.

Goodbye beautiful man you are and will always be my hero. I love you with all my heart...........your little girl forever xoxoxox

Welcome to the world Boston

His finally here born 27th August 2010 at 5:27pm weighing in at 9lbs 3 ounces (big boy). Well what can I say except it was worth it, the horrible pregnancy, the painful c-section process and nightmare of a public system. Thankfully we got into the Private Hospital and got the most amazing dr's on our side and this little man has finally come into the world and his just perfect.

We have been home a week today and I have to say it sure doesn't feel like we have a new born baby in the house, this little guy is nothing like me at all. His so placid, so quiet and you really only ever hear from him if he needs his nappy changed or is hungry.....wow how blessed are we. His just precious everything and more than I ever could of dreamed of.

I think he looks more like his dad than me other than that Ettia nose and mouth oh and yeah see that curly black hair I think he got that from me poor little bugger his got the most piercing blue eyes i have ever seen like a little old man I swear it's like my dad is looking at me.

So all is well and the I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have this little man in my life. I must of done something right to be so blessed. Well off to do some catching up while the little guy sleeps but will post up some more pictures soon. His getting use the camera already.

Long Overdue Update

Hi Everyone

Gosh I know it's been ages and I just got yelled at for updating my blog with the cybercrop details and nothing else. So here we go.

I am 37 weeks pregnant today and sooooooo over being huge and sick all the time. As most of you know it's been a pretty awful pregnancy between the diabetes and having to have an infusion and lets not even talk about the morning/day/night sickness that returned this trimester.

But in saying that all is well, Boston is doing great he measured in at 7.9lbs at last week ultrasound here is a picture of him. These 4d images are just amazing. Thats the umbilical cord on the left hand side of his face, I think his hanging onto his food making sure he gets it all (little piggy). And well check out that nose, isn't that my dad's nose or what.

So all is well, had my check up on Wednesday and the monitor said I was having contractions and feeling a bit funny for the last couple of days so fingers crossed this little man decides to grace us with his presence really really soon.

Hopefully the next time I post I can show you all real photos of my little man and aye aye aye I can start to feel normal again. Until then hugs to you all and thank you so much for all your emails, phone calls and messages it has meant so much to me and kept me sane for the last 8 months xoxoxoxox

Ok it's not June but for once I think I might be a little organised. I saw this great idea ages ago and with nesting settling in I feel the need to get even more organised so I decided to make these card holders.

Couldn't resist and had to make one for Zack to hold his birthday cards from his 10th birthday.

Okay having a lot of trouble photographing this layout with all the shiney glitter on the flowers, but you get the idea. This is a page of my little man's 3D ultrasound photos. It's pretty weird looking I know but I love that first photo where you can see his face. We are due to go and have another ultrasound and I cannot wait to see more of him.

Nursery & Pregnancy Photos

Well here it is not quite finished as I have started painting some prints with bunny rabbits onto canvases to hang above Boston's cot. Also still searching for a book shelf that will sit where the pram is now but I wanted to share some pictures of what I have been up too....yep the nesting has started

My mum was so happy to see that I have put her rocking chair to good use and of course he has to have a B for Boston in his room. Not sure if you can see but Glenn bought me a Willow Tree ornament for Mothers Day of a pregnant lady (must get a closer pic). Oh that his little outfit that he will wear home

Love this room in the house, the sun is just so gorgeous in the morning.

Okay this little man is so spoilt already look at all his stuffed toys he has gotten already. Wait till I show you how many outfits he has.....oh my I think he will be the best dressed baby in Cairns.

And here she is Ms Rolly Polly, yep this is me 20 kilos heavier. Don't lie to me I know I am huge everyone tells me I am and I seem to be retaining water (oh great). Well I am just grateful that morning sickness has finally passed (18 weeks later) and the sickies are getting better. But as for Boston his doing great, growing by the day and I tell you he will definetly be playing soccer this kid can kick. He already has his own soccer boots (I will take a pic and show you later).

We also attend our first Antenatal Classes last night OH MY GORDE are they for real? It was all about labour and Glenn had to hold me down in the chair to stop me from running out in horror.....Oh I know it will all be worth it once my little man is in my arms but gosh 10cm dilated are they kidding themselves.

Okay well I am in the middle of doing a page for Boston's album and still want to get some painting done while I am feeling well. Just wanted to share some pics so my family can also see. Thanks to everyone for all your emails, facebook, text messages what would a girl do without her friends.

Pencil Lines Guest Designer

I can't believe it's been so long since I have updated my blog, scrapped or even been on the computer. I really don't know where the days, weeks and months have gone they just vanished before my eyes.

I have had a few complications with the pregnancy with high blood pressure, water retention, 3 bouts of the flu and ear infections and ewwwwwww so tired lugging around my 20 extra kilos of belly. I only have 10 weeks to go as it seems I have to have to have a c-section due to complications and I tell you I can't wait, I can't wait to meet my little man. Yep we found out a few months ago that it's a boy, Boston Willy and talk about a little soccer player all he does is kick all day long. We got a 3d ultrasound and he has my dad's nose yep the Willy nose and his just gorgeous.

I have pictures of the nursery, ultrasounds of the Bub and a few little projects that I did before I got sick that I will post later but for now wanted to share my Pencil Lines sketch and say hello to everyone gosh I have missed scrapping.

More Exciting News

Wow this year is turning out to be the best so far for me. Firstly the engagement and then the baby which the dr said is doing great, and for a MATURE (oh didn't like that word) mum I am doing all the right things and Baby Binskin is thriving in there. I am so happy to say that the dr said I am past the "danger" zone and just a couple more tests to put my mind at ease and then just sit wait and grow for another 6 months.

Okay I going off the track (baby brain). My exciting news is that I have been asked to join the amazing talented team at Scrapping Outback and I am over the moon. The girls over there are just amazing, so caring and so friendly and the design team oh myyyyyyyy i hope I can keep up the standard. Go and check it out you won't be disappointed. Stayed tuned I have some projects and challenges coming up really soon. Also you might want to join and check out the Baby Talk section that has been included in the forum, the fantastic girls at SO loved the idea of having a section were all the girls can share there experiences of being a Mum and also there creations, I am so excited about this as I could use all the advice I can get hahahahaha

Also I got a call the other day asking if I would like to return to designing for Memories That Last which I loved doing but with all the changes and the move I gave it away. I am so excited to get back into working with these gorgeous ladies. Go and check it out awesome products, the classes are amazing and you will love all the girls there.

I also wanted to share with you my other baby my new car that I got before Christmas. It's a Mazda 3 sports and it's just gorgeoussssssssssssssssssssssssss I love it, it goes like the clappers and oh the air con is what I need up here. I am so spoilt I know just hoping the baby seat and 2 boys fit in the back otherwise glenn will have to ride in the boot heeheee.

Okay time for me to get out of my jammies, one of Glenn's friend fiance is coming over this morning and has offered to cut and colour my hair, she is an amazing hairdresser and can't wait to see what she does with my grey mop of hair. Gotta say I am loving all this pampering other than morning sickness pregnancy is pretty good. Okay well does this album give away what my big news is?????? I thought it would of been a giveaway with all the baby albums I am making. Yes go figure I am going to be a Mum, I still can't believe it but this belly is a sure sign, its like I have glenn's soccer ball up my shirt I am huge.

It's been a rough few months and who ever called it morning sickness must of been a man, because it lasts all day and night and strikes whenever it feels like it. I have spent of Christmas, New Year and most of this month with my head in a toilet bowl, or eating sausage rolls (that is my craving).

We have been for our first ultrasound and all is fantastic, (alien baby that is what it looks like on the scan) is just cute as and a strong heart beat. Oh and I made them check there was only one in there, phewwwwww I was getting worried cause of the size of my belly but they say it's fluid, seems like the little one has an olympic swimming pool in there to swin around in.

Other than being sick constantly, back aches, head aches, leg aches I am doing really well now and these symptons are easing off and I am starting to feel a little human again and not just crying at the drop of the hat. Everyone is convinced especially ME that it's a girl and we will know in about 4 weeks time cannot wait as I have already bought her a new outfit.....hopeless I know.

So that is one of my big news, but the biggest news. I started this journal before Christmas and documenting everything, yep even the aches and pains.

Lots of journaling you know me always rambling on....i think this baby will be sick of my voice I tell you.

I have more pages to share but gotta run I have a dr's appointment I need to find out if I can fly and if I can eat seafood I am so missing prawns and plus I need a weigh in....ohhhhhhhhh lets not talk about the blood test.

Baby Girl Album

What can I say the concert last night was absolutely AWESOME. I know Ronan Keating was the big star but for me personally (and Glenn who could barely stand it with excitement) but Tina Arena was incredible, her energy, her class and sophistication what an amazing lady and what an amazing voice. She totally blew me away and sent shivers down my spine with her singing. I would pay huge money to see her again truly she has a voice of an angel.

Ronan is a real cutie I have to say that and he knows how to work the audience heeheee he had even the grannies up and dancing in there seats. Very different here in Cairns, the convention centre is nothing like the Entertainment Centre in Sydney is much much smaller and more intimate and well half the audience was down the front on the floor dancing. Great show I enjoyed it so much I think my feet are still bopping this morning.

Oh and no Glenn kept his undies on but I should of taken a picture his mouth was open the whole time Tina was on stage, I think he forgot I was even there, God bless him it was a dream come true for him to see her up close and to hear her.

Now for some scrapping this is a little 6x6 Baby Girl Album that I made the other week using some older Basic Grey papers that I have been hoarding for ohhh months and been dying to use.

Here are just a few of the pages that all up there are 20 pages to this album but yeah till I get photos and journaling into the album I won't post up every page.

I just love how it turned out and can't wait to show you guys the next album I made this one has photos and journaling. I will be back over the weekend to share some more. Glenn convinced me into starting up my blog again and now I am addicted posting everyday and overloading it.

Baby Christmas Album

I made this 8x11 Christmas Album using the MME collection for a very special little someone who will be having there first Christmas this year. I haven't over done the pages as much as I wanted too as I wanted to leave room for lots of photos and journaling and will add more then.

Here are just a few of the inside pages there are 30 pages all up and didn't want to load them all up but will when I have it completely finished with photos.

Okay better shoot off I have so much to do today and Glenn and I are off to see Ronan Keating and Tina Arena in concert tonight (Glenn has a bit of a crush on Tina so this should be interesting he reckons his going to throw his knickers at her...ewwww poor girl I know what his knickers look like) and I have to try and do something with my mop so that I look a bit respectful. I'll be back tomorrow to show you a baby album that I made.

New Craft Room

A few of the girls wanted to see the new craft room, as much as I loved my old craft room especially the colours I have to say I am in heaven here as this room is massive. It's meant to be a media room for the family but my wonderful fiance said it just had to be the craft room and even gave me the massive flat screen tv so I can watch Titanic to my hearts content. Sorry the photos aren't that clear its monsoon season and pretty cloudy every day.

We are in the process of either getting a house built in the same street as the people are so nice and the views are amazing not to mention the freshwater creek that runs at the back of the house. Fingers crossed we can get one that has another media room just like this one.

I also forgot to load up this card which I made from scraps out of the Holiday Cheer page below. I think I may have too many projects going on at once here. The poor ole craft room looks like a bomb hit it.

Okay more soon I have an album to show you all that I created the other day. I just need to find a spot that takes really good pictures, might have to wait for a sunnier day.

Christmas Cards

Oh boy just lounging around today being lazy recovering from our Australia Day party that Glenn hosted here. Don't even ask how bad his feeling today and had to go to work, okay I kicked him out of the house with his mates LOL. My house is a mess I don't think I have ever seen so many empty beer bottles oh housework can wait I say.

I wanted to share a couple of Christmas cards that I made and finally finished and photographed. I didn't make many this year with the move and all the days just flew by. These for a few of my very special friends who should be getting them in the mail any day now. Okay it's late but better than never right.

And wow thank you all for all the wonderful comments left on my last post, I have replied to most but I don't have a lot of your emails so I will visit your blogs to say hi. I'm finally back

I can't believe it's been so long since I have blogged okay or even scrapped. It's taken awhile to settle here in Cairns with so many changes some good and some not so good but as the new blog banner says I am committed to living one day at a time and making it count.

I have so much to tell you all about one thing I can say is that my wonderful partner Glenn proposed on 23th December 2009 where he hired out the top of my favourite restaurant which was decorated in candles with a gorgeous little pink box sitting on the table and champagne on ice. I have to say I feel so blessed and so lucky to have met someone second time around that is really a dream come true.

We had a great Christmas, although I did miss my family and friend terribly but experienced a very different day having Zack and Claye and watching there faces when they saw the christmas tree filled with presents.

I couldn't resist and finally started scrapping now that the craft room is fully unpacked and did this page of my 3 goofballs posing for pictures. It felt so good to finally scrap again

We entered the New Year sitting on the beach front eating seafood and watching the fireworks with friends. I have to say the lifestyle here is a lot slower than Sydney but the people are just so much nicer and so friendly. I have gotten a far bit of scrapping done lately and met a few ladies that live in my street that scrap so we have had a few scrap days through the holidays.

I wanted to check in as I have received so many emails asking how I am doing. I have some great news to share with you all very soon that has truly made all my dreams come true. But for now I wanted to check in and say hi to everyone and I am getting around to visiting everyones blogs and facebook again.

Long Time Between Drinks

Hi Everyone long time no see me

Gosh it's been ages since I have updated and even longer since I have scrapped. A lot of you probably already know that well my whole life has changed in the last few months. Mum & Dad are doing well they are now in full nursing care and have been settling in well, I think I am the one not coping.

The puppies are all great, Scrubby is still on medication but back to his old self and getting way too fat now.

As for me, well I am moving to Cairns at the beginning of the month, I have sold my house and making a fresh start up there below are the just 3 reasons why I am moving. Life has thrown me some curve balls over the years and the last 4 yrs taking care of mum and dad has taken its toll on me. But by some miracle I have re-met after 19yrs (long story) a wonderful man who treats me like a princess and couldn't be happier.

This is an album I made a couple of weeks ago for Glenn's Mum. Just a few pages to show you all. I also went to a crop at MTL with Lee and will post up the pictures of the pages I did...emmm lots of boy pages now LOL.

I have a zillion million emails from you all and I promise I will get there, but also had a lot of request to get access to my blog, so instead I am unprivatising it. I am in the middle of packing and moving and should be hitting sunny Cairns 7th Nov and setting up my room and getting back into life and SCRAPPING yipppeeee. So I will keep you all updated and share some more.

I wanted to also say thank you all of you who have sent emails, called, visited and been so concerned about me and so loving and caring, truly it means the world to me. Ok better get back to it will fill in more soon.

Memories That Last Canvas

Hi Everyone sorry been missing in action, you know me drama drama drama train wreck LOL. Things are so looking up and I finally slept last night. Dad is doing really well eating, drinking and he doesn't sound like he has much aspiration at the moment so that is a plus.

We had a lot of drama with Scrubby over the weekend and lee and I took him out of the vets, good thing we did because when we got there he was worse than when I took him in. Long story short I ended up taking him to the Animal Referral Hospital and after a lot of sleepless nights and worry they operated on him last night. He came through great and they have diagonised him with liver disease which can be treated. Just wanting on a biopsy test to return tomorrow for the all clear then my little man can come home next week if he responds to the new treatement.

oh it's been so hard feeling so helpless but I feel like there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I haven't been scrapping at all or even thinking about it just going through the motions, but I did do this canvas a few weeks ago to go up on the wall at MTL using Bo Bunny.

I am hoping now that things are settling down I can get some kind of normality back into my life and oooops answer my 237 emails no no i never did catch up. It's A Boy

A very sweet friend which you might all know (Beck Beattie) had a gorgeous little boy Austin and I wanted to make something a little special to hold a gift that my Mum has made for Austin. I made it a bit ago but was waiting on Mum to finish her part. I know Beck loves the bag she has seen it already but I hope you loves what Mum has made. I will show you all once Beck receives it.

I actually put the card on the front of the bag so it opens up to read the message inside.

Also an update on my Dad and Scrubby. Dad coughed a fair bit last night but no vomitting and finally settled and had a good night his actually a little chirpy this morning which is a good sign. My brother keeps telling me that my Dad has lived such a good life and really all I should be doing is making him comfortable its just hard to someone you love slipping away whether it be slow or dragged out....it hurts.

The vet called me back last night to say that Scrubby ate yesterday they had to give him 2 servings cause he was being a little piggy, they were really positive with that. There running more tests cause they think it's a liver disease and think they can fix the problem if it turns out to be this disease(can't remember the name). So things are looking up I hope for him. I so badly want to see him but there keeping me away in case he frets more when I leave. I am so anxious not knowing and so helpless that I can't do anything. I am not allowed to see him yet so that is driving me insane too. Well everyone keeps saying no news is good news and the fact that he made it through the first 24 hours is a good sign..

I had my class at MTL yesterday but I have been a blubbering mess and just not coping, I feel like my life is a train wreck. I know what lies ahead and I know what I have to face if not today one day soon and that just cripples me. I am just unable to sleep or eat at the moment and can't seem to focus on anything but moving around like a robot. I feel so bad for letting the girls down at the shop and not teaching yesterday but the slighest thing just tips me over and I start bawling my eyes, yeah me a cry baby go figure. I hate that I am letting them down but I am so useless at the moment and just goign through the motions.

So today I am walking around from room too room trying to keep a close eye on dad and trying not to think too much of scrubby. Lee is coming over later to try to get me motivated to do some scrapping and make a handbag....not sure how that will go, you know when you just feel like all your energy has been sucked out. Well it will be so nice anyway to have some company. Hope your all having a wonderful weekend although it's so cold and rainy here perfect day for movies and junk food huh.

Scrapping Outback Challenge

Firstly wanted to say a huge thank you for all the cyber hugs, prayers and all your comments. Dad had a better night last night although the Ventolin sent him a little hypo. Got news about SCrubba no change, his on a drip and still waiting for blood tests to return. They think it might be his liver and hoping it's just an infection. I sure do miss my little shadow the house doesn't feel the same it's too quiet and I couldn't sleep last night just thinking of his little face. like seriously could he be any cuter?

But I am trying really hard today to stay positive and not brekadown in a blubbering mess like I did all day yesterday. Plus I have a full class over at MTL tomorrow and I am sure they don't want me crying over there layouts LOL LOL. Please Say A Little Prayer

The last 12 hours have been an absolute nightmare I have had Dad sick all night and has finally settled this afternoon and taking fluids. He gave me a terrible fright as he was choking and changing colour when I found him last night. I managed to clear his throat so he could be sick but just awful to see someone choking.

Then this morning my little puppy Scrubba has been sick for the past week, back and forth from the vets and on antiobiotics. He collapsed this morning and I rushed him to the vet to be told his in a critical condition. They have hospitalised him and put him on a drip and I have to call tonight to see how his doing and if they have any answers as to what is wrong with him

I am a wreck I can't stand any of this. I feel like my heart is being ripped out. First Dad and the fright of my life now Scrubby my little shadow.

Please say a pray for them both......and tell me why does life have to be so hard

Can you believe it was 12 months ago that we didnt think he would make it through the night to see his birthday....my gosh where has time gone.

The sun is finally out today and just perfect for it's Willy (my dad's) 84th Birthday. His doing okay too, his still congested a bit off his food but I am keeping it in check. Going out this morning to go get him some ballons ohhhh he loves the hellium ones with tweetie bird, might even puree some chocolate birthday cake for him, oh that sounds bad doesn't it LOL.

I have lots to share and talk about but today is my beautiful handsome Dad's birthday so it's all about him. Thank you everyone for all your amazing support and friendship throughout all my crappy times, oh I am still answering emails yep down to 225 now, I am not doing so great with it LOL LOL. but getting there.

So I am off to organise a mini party for him, hope you all have a great day today and an awesome long weekend, be safe, be happy and hug your loved ones.

I Love Becky Roberts

No seriously I am in love with Becky Roberts, what this lady can create with paper just blows my mind out of the water. The milk cartons in the previous post are her designs that she sells on her blog and woooow wait till you see her blog. Yep I went nuts and plan to make a lot of her creations there just all perfect for gifts and a great mojo starter.

So I wanted to share her link because duhhhh i didn't put it in the previous post (too busy planning the next creation) and so many of you have asked for it and also to show you this little purse organiser I made last night. How cute is this???? see you will love Becky too. This has pockets in the front, back and the inside to hold cards and envelopes and don't ya just loveski this notepad? I can see a lot of people getting one of these for there Christmas gifts LOL

have these milk cartons LOL. The gorgeous Miss Lisa made some the other day and well I fell in love with them and just had to make some straight away. Okay took me a bit because I totally stink at trying to read destructions in inches but found a great site that saved this from going in the bin. Loving these papers so I had to use them as they match my craft room so perfectly.

Thanks Miss Lisa for the great inspiration just loved it and can't wait to make some of our other projects together. Okay off to do some work and stop mucking around with everything that catches my eye LOL LOL. Hope your all week

Scrapping Outback Card Challenge

I have been so enjoying the cybercrop over at Scrapping Outback which has really pushed me out of my comfort zone with this card challenge. You all know how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE Carole Janson and her amazing work, well she set this quilling challenge so I just had to give it a go. It's something I never would of done before or even attempted but I thought what the heck and I love how my little house card turned out.

I have to take some better photos these seem too dark. But will load them later. Thank you Carole you already know I think you rockski. Trudi smoodi thanks for letting me copy your clouds from your Dream layout, your a gem and you know how much I am loving your work and that your scrapping again.

Scrapping Outback Cybercrop

I have to share this, I have to document it cause I swear I can't stop laughing about it. I received the most gorgeous email the other day inviting me to a Cybercrop over at Scrapping Outback. I was a bit worried you know still licking my wounds but I know a few of the girls over there and thought I would stop by and say hi and maybe join in.

What can I say the girls over at Scrapping Outback are so nice, so friendly and so funny. I had an absolute blast last night and can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. So the story is I am posting in the forum blabbering on as I do and this picture turns up in my signature. Well I just about fell off my chair.

One or few of the girls (I dont' know who I think there hiding) over there has put my face on this photo, yes it's Jane in the naughty chair. Now for those of you that don't know I have a bit of a reputation for being sent to the naughty chair and I think it got around after I hosted porn bingo one night at a cybercrop, okay I was always in the chair for doing something or other. So it's kind of stuck that I have to have time out.

Now is this hilarious or what. I have to say I seriously slid off my chair, burst into laughter and snorted. They had added this to my signature in the forum I had no idea, I am posting away and here is mini me looking at me. You can't imagine how I cracked up, I think I snorted too a few times actually and tears running down my face. Oh I so needed a laugh it felt so good to have fun and enjoy myself and to feel so welcomed. Seriously how cool is this, if that doesn't make you feel welcome was would.

So last night after I had to visit the ladies 50 times from laughing we got the first challenge which was a template for a handbag, too cute, just too cute I had to make it straight away. We had 2 hours to make it and can you imagine the chaos here me trying to finish it wahahahahahah almost as funny as the picture above. Here is the bag I made. I am going to make another one cause the time has been extended. Aren't they the cutest thing ever and so cool to make as cards.

You Girls

are AMAZING all of you. I cannot even get my head around the amount of support, love and friendship that so many of you have shown to me after my last post. All the prayers for Mum and Dad and encouragement to support me to find strength to keep going.

Thank you just isn't enough, there has to be a better word, a bigger word, something that can tell you all how much it means to me and how very grateful I am to have so many wonderful people in my life.

I am totally blow away by the comments here, the emails, the phone calls oh my gosh I seriously didn't realise how many of you are out there that even know me. Now I am answering all the emails I have my inbox down to 153 emails and working my way through.....buggers a lot of you don't have emails don't worry I will find you wahahahahaha. I keep saying that one day when I can everyone will get visits from me, Sandy suggested that she organise a locksmith now for when that time comes LOL LOL too funny she know how I will stalk you all.

KNowing the amount of support I have I know I have made the right decision to leave the blog open and continue doing what I love and to share with all of you. I will try really hard to not let the things that people say about me get to me and will always remember and cherish all the wonderful support I have.

I wanted to let you all know that Willy has settled, it's been a rough week with fevers and a couple of turns but his not getting worse which is a positive. Poor Al was on the phone to me the other night and it scared her to death as his left eye wouldn't open and his face dropped again...sorry for scaring you Al I know how horrible it was for you hearing it happen.

So back to emails for me and also wanted to share something with you all, but i will do that in another post. Thank you everyone seriously you have no idea how much it means to me and what you have done for me, I don't think I would of made it through without you guys

Oh Bugger....Long post

Okay were do I start. I decided the other week to make my blog private but ever since doing that I have received so many emails of support, encouragement, friendship and love from so many of you that love visiting my blog and reading what I am up to and what is happening in my life. I can't seem to keep up with the emails to give access to people and to assure so many of you that it wasn't personal, it was more about how I was feeling.

I made my blog private because I guess I was doing a Jane, I was doing a runner from people that don't know me or my situation but felt they could attack me anonymously on a blog. I know I shouldn't let things like that get to me and accept that not everyone is going to like or understand you and well that is just life everyone has a right to there opinion. But it came at a really bad time in my life and well I just cowarded down and hide from the world. It's probably not the best way to handle it and everyone is entitled to there opinion but yep it hurt, it hurt a lot and to best honest I have been thinking a lot about what was said about me on that smack blog.

I don't always have a lot of time to keep in contact with friends it's true, I am often slack on emails or returning phone calls and I forget things all the time. I don't have excuses for that but so thankful to the people that really know me and understand that it is never personal it's just how my life is at the moment, well has been ever since I decided to care for my parents. I do try so hard to keep up and keep things going but sometimes my body aches, my head aches and it's just so hard to keep it together.

The last few weeks have been hard, my Dad (Willy) has been up and down like a yoyo and the other day I woke up and went into his room to see that his whole left side of his face had dropped and he has had another stroke. The shock and the feeling of complete helplessness completely shattered me. I know his not well that isn't the shock, it's that he doesn't laugh much anymore, he doesn't smile, he doesn't communicate, his off his food it's like his spark has died. I have had the dr here and he doesn't believe in his opinion that we should try and treat dad. Dad's kidney's are failing and well his just slipping more and more every day.

For the last 12 months I have struggled to keep things together to keep up with my friends, to keep the washing, cooking, cleaning, shopping everything done and take care of him. I have struggled with accepting that my Mum has been diagnosed with Dementia too and that she is getting frail and terrified that I will have to go through this all over again with her. But more so I am struggling with how am I going to cope when I go into there room to find one of them gone. I have nightmares about it, I can't sleep it just plays on my mind 24/7.

Someone once said hey she is at home all day long she has heaps of time to scrap...oh gosh I wish you could see what my day consisted of and how I get to scrap only at night cause I can't sleep and it takes my mind off what lies ahead for me, I figure if I don't sleep then I will hear him if he needs me or that I won't have to wake up to find my Dad has passed away. I took up scrapping again to keep me busy to keep my minds of getting sad and to try and stay positive. I am terrified to my core to find my Dad has passed away, I don't want to be the one to find him, I don't want to be the one to have to tell my Mum who sleeps in the same room, I don't want to have to make that call to my brothers. I just don't want to face it but I know I have no choice.

My heart is ripped into a million pieces. I am the parent now and I feel like I am losing the child that I never had, my Dad depends on me to survive, to feed him, shower him his like a newborn baby that needs all your care. How do I let go of that? How do I find a way to cope with losing him? How do I start my life again after all is said and done? What will I do when I feel like his such a huge part of my life, my everyday revolves around him. I am terrified to let go.

I have probably said too much for a public blog and I am not doing it for sympathy but more so to say that the hurtful things said about me about how I think I am shit hot and how I neglect my friends and can't keep them or how I try to make a name for myself in the scrap world or how I am so into myself, well all of that is so untrue. I don't think I am shit hot oh far from it, you only have to ask the people close to me how hard I am on myself and never think that my work is good enough. I don't want a name for myself in the scrap world, things have just happened which I have been so fortunate about but at the end of the day if it didn't happen that is fine I love just being able to scrap for myself but more so to scrap about my parents so I can remember everything. I don't think I am shit hot or Queen Jane, hahahahah I wish I was then I would be fine to handle the way my life has turned out.

As for neglecting my friends that I am sorry, I am sorry I don't have time to chat more often and that I take ages to get back to emails that sometimes I couldn't meet my committments. I know my friends will smack me in the head for this but I want them to know that never a day goes by that I don't think how lucky I am to have such wonderful people in my life that understand me and accept me and yes put up with my shit all the time but always there for me supporting me or just listening to me cry in there ears over the phone.

Nothing I have done has been personal or to hurt anyone, but I made a decision to take care of my Dad till his last breath and sometimes that task takes everything I have to just get through one day. It's not an excuse it's just the way my life is for now and you know I don't regret it for one second and would do it all over again because I will never get any of these times with my Dad back once his gone.

I would give up every DT gig, every publication, ever piece of paper, every glue stick yes even the mounting tape to have my Dad back, where he knows who I am and I can go to him and confide in him and have him tell me everything will be okay. Just to have him be there for me like I see so many other people who have there parents, for me it's the other way around I am the parent. That is where I have relied on my friends, my brothers and yes my scrapping to fill in the gap in my life. I only ever started scrapping again to try and bring back something positive in my life but after all this the whole meaning of scrapping and the enjoyment and fun has deteriorated for me.

I know that by me even posting all this it won't make a difference to those that hate me enough to post such awful things on the smack blog and nothing I will say will change that. You know I was so angry at you whoever you are, but in the big scheme of things it doesn't matter what you think of me. I have tried to live my life right, to make the right decisions and to always try and be there for people that need me the most. You may not understand that about me and I guess you never will because you have judged me regardless of what you know about me and that's okay cause it's true you are entitled to your opinion. Really you can say what you want but I know in my heart where my priorities lie and what matters most in my life right now and that is to make sure my Dad knows how much I love him and no matter how terrified I am I will see this through till the end at whatever cost, yep even if it means I get smacked about it.

This post will probably bite me in the arse for those that hate me, but it's ok do what you have to, if it makes you feel better to do that to me, I can't stop you or control it. Yes you do hurt me I won't deny it but nothing you can say or do can hurt me or make me sadder than looking into my dad's eyes and knowing I have to say goodbye to him one day soon.

Gosh I didn't want this to be so long or sound like one big sob story but it's just splattering out of my head onto the keyboard. I will keep my blog open more so for all the wonderful people that have just been so amazing to me and who do get inspiriation from what I post and for all those that have supported me for so long, if I can give something back that is what is important.

Now if you read all that, far out your have the patience of a saint wahahahahah yep always end in laughter and a smile.

Gift Box and Card

Hi Everyone hope your all doing well. Gosh I wish DLS and summer would come back this weather is driving me crazy, I am over the rain, the mud and the cold....brrrr I am a baby when it comes to the cold.

Things around here are quiet thank goodness, Willy is stable for now but he has a lot of fluid on his lungs and hopefully we will be able to clear it up without having to hospitalize him. Mum is doing well she is out almost every day which is good for her and for me LOL LOL.

On the scrapping front well you all probably know about that smack blog which really got to me but hoping it will die down soon. Seems to be a couple of people (who I think I might know who it is) that have it in for me for some reason. I know I shouldn't let it get to me but you know when your down already it doesn't take much to really upset you.

Anyway enough of my waffling. I wanted to show you this gift box and card that I made for MTL using Collections chipboard victorian shape and some older Crate paper.

I also wanted to say thank you for you girls for all your support and emails and phone calls about the blog and me disappearing and so happy that I have people visiting my blog that are genuine and my friends. Fathers Day Card Set

I know I haven't updated my blog lately emmm for a lot of reasons but I have been doing a fair bit of scrapping and just wanted to share this little Fathers Day Card set that I made for Memories That Last.

Also wanted to thank you girls for all your support and friendship. Things have been a bit tough for me lately and you have all been so wonderful to me. Now that my blog is private I can use my blog for the reason I set out to have one in the first place, to document my every day.

Thanks for your emails Willy is doing okay. He had another stroke the other day and at the moment we need to work out if and how we will go about a treatment plan for him, it's a really hard decision and not one that I am finding easy to make. I am having some emotional issues/problems coping with it at the moment and wish that I could find a way to accept what is happening..... He is comfortable, his as happy as can be expected and well you know him he might surprise us all again and keep solidering on.

As for MTL I am loving all the projects that I am working on and so happy there. I have also decided (don't laugh) to teach craft classes at the Aged Day Care Centre....you would think I have enough dementia patients to deal with hahahahah but I feel bad for them as they don't have anyone to take on the classes....so if you interested no just joking. Okay so I better go just wanted to show you guys one of things that I have been doing....hugs everyone

I have been asked to the join the Memories That Last creative design team which is an absolute honour can you hear me squealing with excitement. The store is only10 mins from my home and the ladies what can I say are just amazing, so friendly, so inviting and so thoughtful and appreciative. Honestly I couldn't have asked for a better team.

Birthday Weekend

As promised here are just a few pictures from my birthday last weekend. You know you realise how lucky you are when you have such fantastic friends like these girls. Each one so very different (yes like Sandy with chopsticks up her nose) and each one plays such a huge part of my life. These girls have been through thick and thin with me and I am just so thankful and so blessed to have them....I thank God everyday that I have them in my life.

We had such a fantastic weekend Al came up for the weekend and well you all know how much I love my brudda from another mudda. Hanging out with her is so easy, we laugh, we cry, we drink, we scrap and we drink some more ewwwww my head stills hurts.

Then on Saturday Lee, Sandy and Lisa all met here and we went a scrap shopping oh my gosh how much fun was that girls i think I broke my visa card. We all then headed off to China Town for lunch and some more shopping.....don't know if you can see it but yes the menu had Fook Kin Fried Rice oh my gosh I think I snorted for half an hour over that one. So many stories so much fun like the Macca's run.

Thanks girls for making my weekend so awesome....love you all. Also I wanted to send out a huge thank you to all of you for all your messages and emails for my birthday and all the support and friendship that so many have shown me over this past week when things were really tough for me. I know I keep saying it but I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life.

I have a ton more photos but i need a nanna nap today so just posting a few.
Also had the chance to do some scrapping with Al and we each made a friendship album to hold our photos from the weekend....ewwwww poke poke snort snort have you finished yours Al mine is done???

I have only taken one photo of the inside cause I haven't printed off the photos or done my journaling yet as I have too much commissioned work to do and I am procrasinating with it LOL.

Happy Easter Everyone hope you all having a wonderful weekend with family and friends and indulging in endless supplies of chocolate.... Sorry I have been so quiet things around here have been a bit hectic work and family wise and well hoping to come up for air next week.

So just a quickie tonight and then back to it for me. As it's Easter this week I made this card for Scrap My Memories card inspiration. This bunny was just too cute not to use.

Well okay I am a bit addicted to the Basic Grey urban prairie papers and had quiet a few pieces of papers left over from my Lime Tart DT kit and some chipboard pieces I bought ages ago and I was sitting there last night watching tv and made this quick card.

These papers are just so easy to use, don't ya just luv it when things just go together. I think that is why I love kits so much. Also finished off my DT work for SMM oh wooozer be sure to get yourself a kit because there are some great classes which will be available in the forum for those who have purchase that months kit. I have made a mini album with step by step instructions which I love doing right now...so keep your eyes open cause I have a surprise coming up soon that is just drool worthy.....

Okay well that is it for me, trying to update as I can and trust me I have been working my scrapping fingers to the bone lately.....have a happy Monday gosh the weekends go by too fast.

Wooozer lucky me, how the heck did I get so blessed beats me but I received the November Lime Tart kit (which is on sale at the moment) in the mail last week and I just couldn't stop drooling and why wouldn't you with all this BG goodness. Seriously you need to go and check out the kits there such a great buy and jammed packed.

It's not the 15th I know but I can tell you my little secret now. I was asked to design layouts and instructions using kits for the awesome BLUE BAZAAR..... I know I almost flipped out and I think I did slide off my chair when Luise contacted me.

I treasure all the friendships that I have made and the great advice that you have all given me. Yesterday I had a great day at a very dear friend of mine Diane who is a Stampin Up Demonstrator. She taught a class making these absolutely to die for gorgeous note card holders and 4 matching cards.

As soon as I got home and showed Mum she pinched them, there gone she said she needs them. So last night I took Di's destructions and made myself one. Here is my version on the the awesome note card holder and I made 6 cards to sit inside the holder.

I think I have a new found love with stamping, so easy when your using great products and a great teacher too. Again thanks for a great day Di I had a blast and Mum & I love our note card holders there gorgeous....clever lady indeed.

Lightbulb Oprah Moment

Well it's no secret that I have been pretty upset last few days, okay weeks with all that has happened and with Mum being unwell, Dad being sick and lets not even start on my hair falling out......and well things have just gotten to me so badly.

Then this whole scraplifting crap and then something happened today that was well a lightbulb moment.....this is what I do, this is what makes me me, this is what it's all about....family family family the ones you love, not paper and glue and scissors.

As I sit here and look at these pictures tears are rolling down my face. This man wasn't meant to live, I was told 9 months ago he wouldn't even live through the night that the hospital didn't want me to take him home...... The bird to you hospital people because today my dad fed himself. He reached out for the spoon and just starting eating.

You can scraplift me, you can take everything I have and it means nothing. To see my father laugh, sing and today eat it's priceless. No amount of publications, dt gigs or praises could make me feel so happy and proud like today. I would trade it all in to have my Dad back with me and for him to know who I am......this is what really counts.

Thank you everyone for all your support I think I just got the kick in the pants to make me realise and just as he always did my Dad gave me just that.

I Don't KNow What To say

Seriously you girls blow me away not only are there tons of comments on my last post but you have no idea how many emails I have received regarding my last post. I don't even know where to start to answer them all. From people I know and then so many that visit that I didn't even know stopped by.

I am blown away, speechless reading some of your emails to me showing your support, encouragement and advice....wow for the crappy people out there, there are 10 beautiful people to make it better. To my gorgeous friends who have contacted me and given such great advice (you know who you are) and listened to me blabber on, thank you.

You really don't know who is out there reading your blog do you, but when times are tough the wonderful people come out and show such kindness which has truly touched my heart today. I can't thank you all enough for what you have done, each and everyone of you by your words of kindness and support.

I haven't decided as to what to do although it's quite clear that many of you think that I shouldn't let just a few people bring me down and your probably right. I submitted a lot of my work over the last few days for a few reasons, although I don't submit anything to the magazines normally it was kind of a reflex action and well as you can see it's mostly all gone for publication. This has re-inforced what I do and how I love to create, not for the recognition by to be able to share with people. I get a lot of emails from girls just starting out asking for advice and help and that is why I put my work out there.

But the reason for this post is to say thank you, I will answer all the emails (I am anal like that LOL) but mostly thank you everyone for making me realise why i do what I do.....I read on a blog, scrap for the memories not to be remembered.......so true and if I guess people scraplift then it's for all the wrong reasons right obviously to advance themselves on others people's talent.

So as I lick my wounds WAHAHAHAHA and you know me I bounce back, dust myself out and carry on I really appreciate you all and know that from the bottom of my heart your words have encouraged me more than you realise.

Also a huge big thank you for all your concerns regarding Dad his doing much better and hopefully things will get back to some normality (if you can call it that).

What to do????

That is the question I am asking myself right now.......... Some of you may have noticed that I put up a poll earlier today about whether I should privatise my blog. I really appreciate the feedback and emails that I received, thanks for your support.

Iam in two minds about keeping this blog going and posting up my creations. I love to share what I create and hopefully inspire other people and anyone who knows me knows that I am the first to help out and share and if you let me I will even do it for you LOL.

But recently I have noticed that some of my work is being scraplifted and I am not talking about techniques or styles but total scraplifts as in the same paper, the same layout, the same title a complete replica of what I have done. Now I know it's the biggest form of compliment but is it really, when people are getting it published and recognised for something they didn't create. I totally get that people have similar styles and there are fashionable things to do but when you can look at something that is identical to what you have create it's so upsetting.

I don't claim to be unique as I find inspiration from everywhere, for example I blame my circle addiction on the gorgeous Nancy, string and ribbons on Melissa and my love of clustered embellies on Keisha .....but I would like to think I don't totally lift what they have done and make money from it.

The internet world is huge but it's funny the scrapbooking world is so small and these type of things often come to the surface. In this case I have even had other people tell me that they noticed certain people scraplifting my work within days of me posting it up on blog.

So what to do? I am so unsure I am deflated and don't even want to scrap I feel like what is the point. I don't even want to blog about this because it's seems to trivial but it's affecting me. So for now I am in limbo and pretty much just want to close down the blog and go back to what I did for years and just scrap for my family and close friends.

Now I need to decide whether to keep doing what I love to do and that is share my work or just call it a lesson learnt and scrap for myself. For now I am taking a break from the blog world until I can either get thicker skin to deal with this or be happy to keep things more private.

On that note, I will stop blabbering and thank you to my sweet friends you know who you are who have been so supportive and understanding of how I am feeling lately....what would a girl do with her girlfriends beats me LOL LOL.

Okay time to call it a night and getting through this post of my rantings.

Okay long post and so much to share with you. Firstly I want to thank all the girls at S2G's they are all just so talented, inspiring and so helpful for a newbie stamper like me. It's so great working with them and my gosh check out what the gorgeous Deidre & Kristine sent me in the mail today..... they made it and it's a keychain and it's green it's my favourite colour.....how gorgeous is this. This is so special to me and is now hanging probably up on my pinboard in my craft studio.

The girls have been so busy and I am trying to catch up a bit. They have created an awesome new gallery blog here and my gosh wait till you see the cards that the girls have made....I want to be like them when I grow up.

Over here on the S2G blog they have a great Green Challenge and a template for this box. Post up your creation and you could win a $22 voucher to spend in the store. Go and check it out.

Now I have some cards to share that I did using S2G's stamps. This first one is 507-G Once is Enough stamp and she is just too glamourous don't you think.

Kaisercraft Crop Fundraiser for VIC Bushfire Victims

The awesome girls at Kaisercraft are organising a crop at the Kaiser Outlet in Latrobe Terrace and any donations would be welcomed and will be forwarded onto the VIC Bushfire Victims.

27th February - 6pm - 10pm there will be a crop at the Outlet store

- $10 entry but all donations are accepted.

As much as I would love to be there....well it's impossible (maybe one day). I was sitting here the other night watching the Fundraiser on TV seeing the devastation on tv I felt like I had to do more, wanted to do more. So I made this album to donate to the crop, it will be either raffled or auctioned off on the day. Now it's probably got a few tears drops on it LOL but it was made from the heart.

I have embellished all the pages so you just have to add your photos and journaling. I have used the new range of papers Sugar Sugar Collection and the new release Cupcake Wooden Album ...so I hope you all get down to the crop and raise HEAPS of money and know that I will be thinking of you all cheering you all on. Aussie Scrap Source - WOOT WOOT

My gorgeous friend Chris Millar asked me if I would like to submit a page using Crate paper for the Aussie Scrap Source blog....wow you can imagine how excited I was.....squealed my head off didn't I Chris.

I made this little album for my niece and nephew Christian and Sarah Jane just love how it turned out. I made this using the Kaisercraft I Love You Album and Lovestruck Paper Collection....

And in my hot little hands is the new paper and OTP releases ohhhhh can't wait to show you guys....stay tuned

So this is the last page and card that I got done for the SMM Sketch Crop. I can't believe how much I am loving sketches and how much I got done....I can't wait for the next crop now. This is the awesome sketch by Jemma Richmond-Murray

and here is my take on the sketch yeah i know back to doing circles again, it was those sketches that did it now I can't stop

I came across the blog of Sarah Gladman who has a fantastic idea to help those families in the Victorian regions devasted by fire this week

Sarah's idea is basically for us scrappers to donate 12x12 pages, you can read all the details here on her blog......please join in everyone and help these families rebuild memories.

My heart aches as I watch on the TV the hundreds of lives that have been lost and the homes and farm properties that have been destroyed by the fires in Victoria. All this because some stupid *&*#*$ING idiot gets a kick out of lighting fires.

Today as I watch the stories of so so many people who have lost everything that they have worked hard for, all there memories, there treasures and more devastating there loved ones I realise how lucky I am to have a roof over my head, still have my loved ones and all that i treasure.

Please say a prayer that no more lives are lost. To all my dear sweet friends in Victoria, please be safe and know that your all in my heart, prayers and thoughts.

I have to say SMM Crop weekend has been awesome. Yesterday I got to do a couple of the sketches and wooozer you should see what the other girls have created.....just awesome.

This first one is a scraplift challenge of Ingrid's gorgeous page

This is my take on her awesome page.

And you know how it goes, I hate to put things away so I use up scraps to make a card and also kept with the same sketch.

This sketch is by the awesome Allison Cope from So Sketchy love love love it.

Here is my take on the sketch, heeheee I even did a paper piecing for the kangaroo.

Well I have to say I nearly fell off my chair when I emailed the one and only Becky Fleck and asked her if she would do a sketch for SMM Sketch My Memories crop this weekend and I got this fantastic sketch in my inbox.

Card Making Crop Night

I had so much fun tonight, Lee & her neighbour Robyn came around to make some cards with me. Gosh we got so much done too....oh and lee stick down that card I want to see it finished girl.

Here are the cards that I made, the girls ones were similar except for this first one, which I did while they made specific birthday cards.

Not too bad for 3 hours to get through so many cards, I have done more but I can't show that one just yet, have to wait until tomorrow. So thanks Lee & Robyn and a big thanks for the Krispy Kreme doughnuts I wish you had of taken them with you though.

The awesome Deidre & Kristine sent all us DT's a template to make these Valentines Day Treat boxes and images of the stamps. The circle stamp Sealed with a kiss is too cute, you can check it out in the store here.
